All our students can pursue UG and PG studies at any recognized Indian university. They are also eligible to take the NEET and IIT-JEE exams. Yes, students from the IGCSE and A Level streams are eligible to appear for JEE, NEET, and SAT examinations. • For JEE/NEET, students must complete their Cambridge A Levels, which are equivalent to Grade 12 under the Indian education system and recognised board. • For SAT, the IGCSE and A Level curriculum aligns well with international standards, giving students a strong foundation for university admissions abroad. Does the school have a higher secondary? The school currently offers classes up to the secondary level and will be introducing the AS Level (Cambridge Advanced) within the next two years. How do you support students transitioning from other boards/other schools? We ensure a smooth transition for children moving from Kindergarten (from another school) to our Primary section by maintaining a regular learning pace, closely monitoring their progress, and revisiting phonics. The facilitator provides one-on-one support to help bridge any learning gaps and ensure the child's comfort and confidence. Can the school help with transferring to other boards/schools? Yes, our counsellors offer seamless transfer guidance and provide the necessary paperwork in accordance with board norms.

We offer remedial classes, personalised coaching, stress-management workshops, and regular feedback to help all students overcome exam anxiety. As per the book schedule, books are sent home regularly for review and practice. How much screen time is used in the classroom? What safety measures are in place at the school? The entire campus is under CCTV surveillance. Entry after 9 AM is restricted to authorised personnel, except for parents visiting the school office. What is your student discipline method? We treat each student as unique. Instead of standard disciplinary techniques, we use counselling and care to understand and support their individual needs. How do you maintain toilet hygiene? Toilets are kept dry and clean through regular inspections. During peak times, students follow a queue system to ensure safety and hygiene. How does Athena help children overcome mobile addiction? We engage students in meaningful, screen-free activities, including sports, the performing arts, and mindfulness sessions. How does Athena help students manage anxiety? Dedicated school counsellor, periodic well-being checks, group sessions, and open channels for parent–school communication. What happens if a child is unwell? The child is advised to visit our infirmary, where the school nurse, will do preliminary testing and provide basic medical assistance; parents will be notified as needed. How do you ensure transport safety? Our school staff staffs all our buses. The buses are equipped with GPS (Autowiz), allowing parents to see the bus's live location and receive notifications upon arrival at school and home. The buses are also equipped with cameras that our staff will monitor at all times. The drivers are tested for alcohol consumption daily. Regular medical checkups are conducted for our drivers to ensure safety. All bus doors will be closed and locked by our staff for the safety of the students during transit. How does Athena support the child in being independent and choosing a career? We have set up a career lab with the help of M/s. Mere Mentor, a career guidance organisation, and the lab is staffed by their team, which will provide career counselling and psychometric assessments for students to help them choose their careers based on their passion and ability. We also invite a speaker to guide children on their career paths through our InsightX program. This broadens students' knowledge in new and emerging fields of development.

How do parents communicate with teachers? Monthly PTMs are held every month. Parents can also schedule a meeting with teachers in the evening to discuss their child's academic progress. Parents can also interact with teachers through the “Parents' wall” facility in the MCB school app. How many PTMs? We conduct Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) every month. You may also request an appointment after school hours by informing us in advance. Can parents taste the cafeteria food? Yes, parents can do it with prior intimation to the school office. Who do I approach if I have a concern about my child's academic or personal growth? Connect with your child's class teacher, principal, or the school counsellor via the online portal, by phone, or in person anytime. Will the teachers be friendly with the children? Yes, teachers are generally very friendly and approachable. They focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their ideas, and developing confidence. Will you be able to share the details of my child's area of interest or strengths? Yes, absolutely. Our teachers regularly assess and track each child's strengths, interests, and learning preferences through classroom observations, formative assessments, and one-on-one interactions.
7. FACILITIES & CAMPUS LIFE
Is the school air-conditioned? Yes, our Chennai and Chidambaram campus classrooms are fully air-conditioned. Do you have a cafeteria? Yes, our Chennai campus provides breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks, whereas the Chidambaram campus provides lunch and evening snacks. Evening snacks are available for Chengalpattu students. This facility is purely optional. What is the school timing? The school operates from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. For Grades V to X, students also attend two Saturdays each month, which are observed as Bagless Days, during which various club activities are held. Explain your school break and lunch time. Short break in the Morning, for toilet use, followed by Lunch break at noon What is the language used inside the school premises? English is the primary medium of communication. Do you have NRI students, and is there any difference in the fee structure? 30% of our learners from Chennai school and 12% of the Chidambaram campus learners come from abroad, and the fee structure remains the same.

What is the percentage hike in the fee structure? We revise the fee structure by 10% every 5 years, and the fees vary by grade level. What are the additional fees of the school other than the annual fee? No hidden fee other than what is informed at the beginning of the year. Parents are required to bear the expenses for the Annual Day costume, After-School Programme, Transport, Day Boarding, MUN Conference, Excursions, and Cambridge Primary/Secondary/IGCSE paper evaluation, which are optional.
